Feature: Albert Chan & Stacey Turner

Albert and Stacey are two NZ artists living and working in Melbourne, and are producing some awesome work. I was at their place on the weekend and saw their work in the flesh, and some of them have to be seen to be believed. They will be having an exhibition soon so if you like what you see, watch this space and i'll let you know where and when. To see a few more click here

//Banksy Releases Official Movie Poster

Artist 'Banksy' is releasing his first film, 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'. Unfortunately it isn't coming to Australia for a while, but if you happen to be in New York on Friday 16th of April you're in luck. Love his one sheet poster featured above.

//Anyone lost a pair of glowing shoes?

These glowing shoes have been spotted around town in Richmond, Virginia, USA. The shoes are hung like ordinary shoes that are thrown over a power line, only these are only found in bare trees.

Each shoe has a small solar panel attached to the heel and they come alive as the sun goes down. The light that glows from within also flickers like a campfire. Every pair seen is a pair of mens, black dress shoes.

No one knows who is creating them but about 12 pairs have been spotted so far. How bizarre...

Superman SOLD

A rare copy of the first comic book featuring Superman has sold for $US1 million ($NZ1.42m), smashing the previous record price for a comic book.

A 1938 edition of Action Comics No. 1, widely considered the Holy Grail of comic books, was sold from a private seller to a private buyer, neither of whom released their names. The issue features Superman lifting a car on its cover and originally cost 10 cents.

The previous comic book record was set last year when John Dolmayan, drummer for the rock band System of a Down, paid $317,000 (NZ$451,000) for an Action Comics No. 1 issue.

There are only about 100 copies of Action Comics No. 1 believed to be in existence, and only a handful have been rated so highly. It's rarer still for those copies to be made available for sale.
