Hasbro goes 3D

The other day i thought to myself 'i wonder if they'll make a 3D iphone...'

Thanks to Hasbro, iPhone users dreams have come true. They've created a pair of 3D glasses which has a slot for you to insert your iPhone or iPod touch. What's even better is the glasses are gonna cost about thirty bucks. Good times.

Interactive wall from Honda

On Friday the Australian Motorshow began in Sydney, they featured multiple vehicle launches including the all new Ranger from Ford.

Check out this interactive installation from Honda, pretty cool stuff. It uses facial recognition software so it can detect what gender you are, how old you are, and by the lines on your face what mood you are in. Then it tries to make you happy.

Get on a Jellybean

I've never been a fan of riding bikes. Brings back bad memories of riding home in the hail from secondary school.

When i bought my first car one of the first trips I made was taking my old bike to the dump.

But then, I came across these little gems. A website where you can build your own custom bike and they don't charge you an arm and a leg. Sounds good to me.

Check them out for yourself; Jellybean Bikes

Things look great from far away

I recently went on a trip back to my home city of Christchurch in New Zealand and everything was as i remember it. 2 weeks later the 2nd biggest earthquake NZ has ever seen struck the land and the hearts of my friends and family.

On a lighter note, look how beautiful it looks from space. NASA Colonel Douglas Wheelock, based on the International Space Station, claims to be the first space based twitterer and has specialised in turning out the kind of landscapes only astronauts can come up with.

He posted this picture 2 days ago not knowing the devastation that really lay below.

Your country has a handy web extension, I might just use that..

Lately i've noticed more and more brands using foreign country web extensions to add an extra dimension to their campaign.

One in particular that seems to be getting good usage comes from the lovely little island of Tuvalu, a Polynesian nation located in the Pacific Ocean. Their country's extension is .tv which for obvious reasons is very desirable.

I think anyone that uses that extension for a campaign should have to make a nice donation to the people of Tuvalu. Well that's what i would do anyway.

//Not so super after all

A study has shown that woman superheroes are not so super after all. No matter how strong or smart or what powers they have, they are still portrayed as the weaker sex. That may all be very true, but i'd sooner watch Charlize wearing a tight suit than a man. For more on the story read on

//Antivirus software bug hits NZ

I wouldn't normally write a post about something so geeky, but how funny is that. You buy software to protect your computer from bugs, and then your software ends up being a bug itself. You just can't win. Well, not if you're a kiwi anyway. Australia seems to be ok, for now.
If you're a bit of a geek feel free to read on

//30 years of nudity in games

Nudity in games seems to be becoming more and more a common occurance these days, but it's far from a new thing. Nudity in games started way back in 1980 in the form of some skin coloured little square blocks arranged in the shape of a woman. I remember the first time I played 'Rings of Power' on the Sega Genesis and saw my first pixelated cartoon nipple. Those were the days. To see a snippet of game nudity through the years, click here

A mysterious new pizza restaurant has popped up in Melbourne which gives away free pizzas, with the challenge being finding where it is!
